Nostalgia in Chinatown

Quick stop at Taipan Bakery and I see these cakes:

Asian cakes are notorious for being super fluffy, slightly sweet, with a cool whip like frosting or a really light butter cream. I wouldn’t even feel that bad if I ate the entire cake myself. I also had a nostalgic moment with mini-egg shaped dessert bread on the street: my grandmother used to buy it for me all the time when we would go to the market in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
