Kitchenette
Saturday, 2:00pm. Tribeca, New York City. At Kitchenette. Pictured: whole wheat silver dollar pancakes, yogurt & fruit, as well as my lovely friend and her blintzes. If you’re interested, you can host a kid’s birthday party for $325 (for ten kids) which includes a teeny birthday cake, “make your own cookies and cupcakes”, and optional appetizer add-ons. [Is that really necessary? You can pay me $250 to do all of this instead.]
Kitchenette looks like a girly country kitchen, with the pastel colored doors (used as wall and counter panels) and wallpaper. The brunch menu had the perfect portion size and unlike many brunch places, I didn’t feel like a cow afterwards and it didn’t feel overindulgent. It’s not exactly the hangover recovery place to go, but perfect for the weekend brunch place with the girls (or a girl) or your family. This is a place you take your mother. Also, if you’re a guy taking a girl here, it’s somewhat emasculating but you might win points for the sweetness and the effort.
