Sunday, 9:00pm. Chelsea, New York City. Chef’s family and I had a Swiss style fondue dinner at Trestle on Tenth, accompanied by chasselas. For dessert, we shared a chocolate tart, cookie plate (!!!), pumpkin cake with pistachio ice cream (the latter two were sent out by the executive chef — so delicious and incredibly honored that he was so gracious to us), an assortment of sorbets, espresso pot de creme, walnut pie, and this cute little cup of hot chocolate. The desserts were great: I love it when simple desserts are perfected. The hot chocolate was a little rich for me though; I would’ve preferred a lighter chocolate.
